Accessible Ireland is dedicated to it's founder Owen Millar. May his memory, love for travel and smile live on eternally.
The founder of Accessible Ireland, Owen, tragically passed away early in 2010. Owen loved to travel the world. He was not held back by anything and let nothing get in his way in his search for sun in new destinations. No matter where he went accessibility was paramount to him. If he wasn't on a holiday, he was planning a holiday or looking forward to his next holiday.
Prior to going to a new destination, Owen would try and find out as much information about the accessibility of the location. This led him to the idea of Accessible Ireland as Ireland had no website offering such information to it's visitors. Very early on, his sister Jill joined him on the adventure of building Accessible Ireland. Over the past few years Owen and Jill have worked extremely hard and since the website was launched it has continued to grow and more and more people are visiting the website every week.
Accessible Ireland will be continued on by Jill in loving memory to Owen. He will live on through Accessible Ireland and will never be forgotten by his family, friends and loved ones.
