Brasserie Sixty 6, Dublin City.

Stylish, busy, noisy restaurant, right in the heart of Dublin’s shopping and entertainment district. Great food and drink, fantastic surroundings, exciting atmosphere, reasonable prices. Open seven days and nights. Business lunches during the week, brunch at the weekends. Booking (advisable, especially at weekends).

  • The entrance is completely accessible.
  • There is a very large spacious wheelchair bathroom.

As medium-priced dining experiences go in the centre of Dublin, Brasserie Sixty6 is right up there with the best, of which there are few. The building's length (it stretches from George's Street all the way back to the walls of Dublin Castle) and it choice of background music contribute to a most comfortable acoustic ambience - nobody's shouting above any din.

The Sixty6 menu is not extensive, but there is enough choice on there to interest any taste bud. You can choose from five main courses, four seafood dishes and three variants of sausage and mash, or if you are with a group there are shared platters. A group of eight of more can pre-order a roast suckling pig for, which should be an interesting experience provided there are no vegetarians in your party. There's a good wine list to compliment the food, with most bottles coming in at under E30.
